Google Tests New Links in Search Snippets
Google is currently experimenting with a fresh feature in its search result snippets. Users will now notice a “see more” link that directs them to specific sections of the web page relevant to their search query. This is part of a broader initiative that includes additional hyperlinks embedded within search results snippets, providing even more navigation options.
Initial Findings
This new feature was first highlighted by SEO expert, Steph, on X yesterday afternoon. She pointed out,
“Started seeing ‘see more’ appended to the meta description snippet in Google SERP. Sometimes the link takes you directly to where it lifted the meta description from the context of the page, but not always.”
